The recently refurbished Family Room at Telethon Speech & Hearing’s Wembley location is proving to be a big hit with mums and dads, who have been enjoying having their own space to relax in while their kids are in a group session.

Formerly the school library, the Family Room faces onto the playground and is available from 07h30-15h30 daily. The room is kitted out with tea and coffee facilities, comfortable couches, a table and chairs, a television screen and free WiFi. There are also toys and books for the kids/siblings to enjoy and play with.

“We wanted to provide a friendly, welcoming space for families to make their own,” explains Head of External Relations & Facilities, Belinda Leksas. “Parents can grab a cup of coffee or tea, network with other parents or sit and watch their kids on the playground.”

The Family Room will also be used for information sessions and Circle of Security courses.
